Hello, my name is Alex Druien.

I am the voice and face behind the tales and photographs of Forgotten Highways 

I am from the cornfields of the mid-west. I have always had a passion for the outdoors and cruising on the back roads of any state or city I have lived. This is where my idea for FH began. While living out west in Colorado, I spent many days alone cruising a motorcycle on the many dirt roads, trails, and thee original pioneer routes, and thus the idea of "forgotten highways" began. This page and the rambling, poems and images you’ll see are my art and my way of sharing the roads that seem long lost. This is where I found myself and continue to do so. On the forgotten highways. I hope you enjoy.
