7.1.18 A step back in time
After a HOT week here in Colorado with highs near 105 degrees, a fun-filled packed, weekend was well welcomed - AND IT WAS FUN!
Saturday was filled with a high school graduation party for a co-workers son, followed by The Avett Brothers at Red Rocks.
Sunday was the real fun, Bandera and I ventured off to the Renaissance Festival located in Larkspur, Colorado. I was really excited to see it in person and wasn't sure what to expect, I quickly found myself overwhelmed with awesome, and realized the camera didn't come out very often because of it.
What is a battle of arms if its not TO..THE..DEATH!!!!!!! ?
I promise he wasn't as confused as he looks...
Knights jousting, massive turkey legs, pirates and everything we all wish we were, was plentiful. After two to three hours baking in the sun, it was time to call it a day and take the scenic route home. I choose to show Bandera a favorite back country route before heading back to the crazy of Denver. We trucked through Pike National Forest, taken back by the size of the rocks and the beauty of the landscape - Colorado never disappoints. Just gonna photo dump to close out this blog, The weekend was a success!
