1.10.19 - New year, New adventures!

New year, new places to go, and more adventures!

As with most people the change of the new year brings a time to reflect on the year prior and new goals going forwards. 2018 year was a huge year for me and I was fortunate to explore more of the country the best way imaginable…via MY MOTORCYCLE.

Now I know most of you are probably wondering where the hell i’ve been for the past few months, and being honest, I haven’t been up to much. After that last big trip out west I had, I decided to step off the bike and away from the camera for awhile. I was a little burned out from the ride. - I also needed to save some money for the trips that I have planned for 2019.

Today the weather was too good to not do anything, so I did what I do, and packed my camera gear up, grabbed my motorcycle helmet, hopped on the bike and went. It felt refreshing to be out on the bike again. Now it wasn’t some grand, multi-day, overnight exploration but it did wake up some sleeping monster inside me!

It felt so good to have the wind in my face, the sun shining, and feeling the raw power of my Honda as I throttled out hard of almost every corner in site. I made a little 70-80 mile loop through some of my favorite spots that often get ran over with tourist during the peak weather seasons here in Colorado.

This is one of the first buildings that caught my eye as I was walking up and down the streets of Morrison. Such a cool little shop, and I’m sure its full of stories. I can only imagine the history behind its walls. Bummer that it was closed today!

I made a quick pit stop at Red Rocks hoping to grab some photos, unfortunately they had most of the roads blocked off to the top for maintenance work and I didn’t feel that motivated to walk to the top of the venue for some maybe less than stellar shots. So off on down the road I went to Morrison. This little mountain town is a treat if you’re able to be there during the week and off peak season. Theres a handful of small shops and delicious restaurants to choose from. Its a nice little town to walk the streets and window shop or take in the surrounding scenery.

I was getting hungry so I grabbed a quick snack and a bottle of water and sat next to the creek that runs through the town. Lucky for me I had some entertainment while I relaxed in the sun

I packed my gear back up and decided to make my way back home before the afternoon traffic made its wrath known. Todays ride was just what I needed to get excited about the upcoming year and the travel plans I have. Stay tuned as I start unveiling the 2019 plans!
